SCENE 1 In the early morning, an announcer introduces the first episode of "Dreams of Our Lives," a window into the dreams of the residents of Sesame Street. First up is Big Bird, still asleep in his nest. He dreams himself as a teacher, who teaches his Birdketeer students (Bob, David, Gordon and Uncle Wally) about the letter T and gets them to repeat the same tweets he makes.

SCENE 2 At Hooper's Store, Telly admits to David that he didn't get much sleep last night (worrying over whether or not he'll get any sleep). David asks him to answer the phone if it rings while he's in the basement. Telly soon falls asleep, cueing another chapter of "Dreams of Our Lives." Telly dreams that he's actually a telephone, with a set of dials on his chest. He finds it a fun experience when a Honker uses him to receive and make a call. Back in reality, David alerts Telly that his father is calling him on the phone and Telly tells the phone to keep up the good work.
Cartoon Bruce the moose invites Toulouse LaGoose over for juice.

Muppets Grover tries to ignore three monsters who look big and scary to him. When they notice him carrying a flute, they grab his attention and ask -- in what appears to be a threatening way -- if Grover wants to play. The three monsters pull out a clarinet, an oboe and a basson and begin to play, urging Grover to join in.

SCENE 3 Bob falls asleep while trying to come up with a rhyme for a song he's writing. "Dreams of Our Lives" takes inside his dream, where it's "Rhyme with Bobby Day." Gina and Uncle Wally drive him bananas making a rhyme for everything that he says. The announcer segues back to reality by rhyming along too, giving Bob inspiration for his next line (though he wonders where he got it from).
