SCENE 1 Oscar the Grouch enjoys the early morning sounds of the garbage truck, and a neighbor (Martin P. Robinson) yelling at the garbage man to be quiet. When he states that you've just heard all the good sounds there are on Sesame Street, Gilbert and Sullivan appear. Along with Maria, Luis, Big Bird, Bob, Telly, Mike, Gordon, Gina, Mr. Handford, and Susan, they sing about all the nice sounds you can hear on Sesame Street.

Kathleen is unsure if she wants to participate, so the Count shows her the script for the sequel, More Counting. This script counts from 21 to 40. Kathleen declines the role, but the Count doesn't mind; he's been counting the leading ladies who have turned him down!

He proudly states that he'll have to change his name to "Remembering Jones". All the remembering has made him thirsty, so he goes off in search of something to drink.
