Hiroshi shows up and joins a panicked Big Bird and Hoots as the fireman help evacuate the residents of the building (save for Ernie and Bert, who are on vacation, as seen earlier). As the firemen dash in with an axe and the hose to combat whatever fire there is inside, a worried Susan wonders what will happen to their apartment. | |

SCENE 5 | The firemen report that the fire started in the basement. It was a small fire, but produced a lot of smoke. As such, some windows and doors were broken. Maria, Luis, and Gabi are permitted to return to their apartment, but the chief tells Gordon and Susan they'll have to stay somewhere else until the smoke clears from their apartment in the morning. After Big Bird offers them to stay with him at his nest, Gordon suggests they could go to a hotel, but the Rodriguezes eventually convince them to stay in their place. As they head back to the apartment, Gordon recaps to Big Bird how well Miles handled the situation and tells his son how proud he is. | |
