Linda is much more inclined to take care of Preposterous, finding him very cute. After seeing her dome baby talk to the puppy, Oscar realizes he needs to find someone else.

Oscar goes into his can to get ready and when he emerges, Forgetful sees that Oscar's come back and thus his role is done with.

Finally, when a rain cloud is about to rain on him, he shifts the cloud over to the left of the screen so it rains on Gordon instead.
