SCENE 1 Ruby tells the viewer something she's observed about Oscar the Grouch - just like everyone else, he has two eyes and a mouth, but doesn't seem to have a nose. Oscar insists that he does (just covered by his fur) and allows her to get a close look.
Cartoon N is for nose.

Gordon is surprised to learn that Oscar has a nose, which he explodes from his can to reaffirm.
