SCENE 1 In Hooper's Store, Maria is placing a call to her mother in Puerto Rico, while Telly practices saying some simple Spanish vocabulary to say over the phone. When he's given the receiver, he's only able to say "Hola," having forgotten the rest. Maria points out he can say it again to the viewer, welcoming them to Sesame Street.

Ernie then reveals that they are going to the beach.
