SCENE 1 Big Bird is in Bob's apartment to learn about the piano. The lesson is interrupted when Big Bird starts to feel warm but can't decide if he wants the window open or closed. Bob makes a compromise and opens it part-way so it doesn't become too chilly or warm. He begins to demonstrate different kinds of music by playing a loud march, but a bird (Martin P. Robinson) comes to the window to complain about the noise.
