SCENE 1 | Today, โThe Wide World of Sesame Streetโ will be covering numbers. Reporter Telly Monster is asking what peopleโs favorite numbers are. He first visits the home of Polly Darton, but her back up group, the Get-Along Little Doggies, opens the front gate, smashing Telly against the wall. Polly addresses the camera and sings about how singing makes her feel โProud and Happyโ. They leave, and Telly remarks how proud, happy, and in pain he is. | ||
SCENE 2 | As Maria fixes Pollyโs toaster, Polly sings a sad song about her broken toaster. | ||
SCENE 2 contโd | Still reporting, Telly has gotten word that Polly is inside the Fix-It Shop and he can now ask her about her favorite number. Instead, Maria exits the shop. He is star-struck to find Maria fixed her toaster and begins holding her hand to show the audience the hand that fixed Polly Dartonโs toaster. | ||
SCENE 3 | Polly has finished lunch at Hooper's Store and thanks Mr. Handford with a song about healthy food. | ||
SCENE 3 contโd | Telly visits Hooperโs in hope of catching Polly inside, but finds heโs just missed her again. Mr. Handford points out she may be heading for the park, so Telly runs off to find her. | ||
SCENE 4 | In the arbor, Telly has assembled Maria, Mr. Handford, and some kids (all dressed like cowboys). Polly appears there too, who sings about her favorite number โ 9. | ||
SCENE 5 | Polly closes her show by announcing the sponsors and Telly signs off his report. | ||
