SCENE 1 As the sun shines, Big Bird plays with his shadow. He wants to introduce it to Gordon, but Gordon points out that because of a cloud covering the sun now, his shadow is gone. Big Bird assumes that the shadow left, upset that the sun is covered.

SCENE 3 It has begun to rain on Sesame Street. Big Bird and the kids take shelter in Hooper's Store, where Don Music will pass the time with a rain song. He begins to play "It's Raining, It's Pouring," until he realizes there's no old man snoring in the store. The group suggests he change the lyric to "The lion is roaring," but Don notes that there's no lions around either. Sure enough, a lion enters to get out of the rain and finishes the song on his own. He and Don proceed to argue over the lion's use of a rhyming cheat (Hooper's Store-ing).
Cartoon A story of a cat who hated rain, wished for it to stop, and witnessed the disastrous effects of no rain.

Muppets Lefty's boss tells Lefty the plan for what to do with the Golden AN, which they have just stolen. Lefty is to put it in the tan van and give it to Dan, who will take it to Fran. However, Lefty can't remember the plan very well and has to repeat it, which results in a police officer named Stan hearing the plan and giving him "ten days in the can for stealing the Golden AN."
