Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Mr. Handford welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and points out that Grundgetta and her Grouch friends are waiting for a Grouch milkshake. All they say he needs is a piece of cardboard and a pen, which he uses to write the word "milk" on the card, then he gives it to the Grouches so they can shake it.
Animation Thirteen hamburgers dance around.

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie can't sleep, so Bert tells him to count sheep. Ernie tries to count sheep, but it's dull -- so he starts counting fire engines. The noise from the imaginary fire engine wakes Bert up. Bert says that Ernie's waking up the whole neighborhood, and tells him to count something quieter. Ernie counts balloons -- but the balloon gets bigger and bigger, finally bursting with a huge explosion that wakes Bert up again.

SCENE 2 Big Bird shows Edwin that he's trying to teach a new trick to Barkley: he has two dog food bowls, one full and one empty, and he intends to have Barkley show which one is the full one. Edwin points out that this doesn't really count as a dog trick, because dogs can use their hunger to figure out whether a bowl has dog food in it. Big Bird is still determined to find a trick for Barkley.
