Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Gordon points to his map of the United States of America, certain that Snuffy is going to ask where Montana is again. Snuffy arrives, but doesn't need to know where Montana is; Gordon showed him yesterday. Snuffy is joined by an exhausted postal worker, who has brought a giant letter sent from Big Bird all the way from Montana, prompting Snuffy to ask Gordon to point it out on the map again. "Wow! Right where it was yesterday!"
This is followed by the Montana version of the "Sesame Street Theme."
SCENE 1 Gordon starts to read the letter to Snuffy, detailing events from their first two days in Montana (with flashback footage). He continues with what occurred the day he wrote this particular letter...
SCENE 1 cont'd Big Bird accompanies the family on a picnic at Arrow Creek to help acquaint Frances with the country, while Billie Rose gives Maria a horse riding lesson.

SCENE 3 Snuffy asks Gordon to read some, but his letter abruptly ends one sentence later - "Next we put up the..." The postal worker drudges in a large post card at that moment. It completes the sentence - "teepee." Gordon explains what a teepee is to Snuffy.
SCENE 3 cont'd In Montana, Big Bird also learns what a teepee and watches as the kids put one together. Big Bird wants to go inside and takes up the entire space, being able to walk around with it still on him.

He tries to practice his own dance steps, but decides to head right to bed; the faster he goes to the sleep, the sooner tomorrow will come. He perks up, though, wondering what special name Frances will be given ("Dances with Big Bird!").
SCENE 5 cont'd Snuffy is upset that there isn't more to the letter, when the postal employee returns with another giant postcard, reading "Love, your best friend, Big Bird." Before he heads off, the postman announces the sponsors.
