SCENE 6 | While King Elmo gets something to drink at Hooper's Store, a weary Telly tells Maria that he's tired of being a king's assistant since Elmo's job is much easier. When King Elmo returns, Telly admits how he feels and Elmo finds it a great idea to switch places, and imitates the horn (since his playing is subpar). Maria gives Telly Elmo's crown and King Telly's first decree is... to stop playing king and do something else! After she is given the hats and Telly's tuba before they run off, Maria announces the sponsors. |
