COLD OPEN Elmo and Telly introduce today's sponsors and tell the viewer that they'll be surprising Gordon in just a moment.
SCENE 1 Elmo and Telly plan to count to three, rush up behind Gordon (who's sitting reading the paper) and surprise him. The Count joins in and suggests they count higher than three. By the time they've agreed to count to ten, Gordon has already left. The Count uses the time now to count to 599,000,000.
Cartoon A man tries to figure out where a squeaky sound is coming from; it turns out to be a giant's squeaky shoes. "Surprise!"
