COLD OPEN Big Bird wakes up in the middle of the night, shouting "Feather duster!" in fear. Susan is woken up and goes out to check on him
SCENE 1 Big Bird tells Susan about the nightmare he just had, entitled "Feather Duster the 13th." He dreamt he was in a dusty place, where an unseen voice repeats, "Feather duster!" He was then surrounded by 12 feather dusters, who claim he's feather duster the 13th. Susan comforts him by telling him a story of when Cookie Monster had a bad dream...

Muppets Bert is out of town, so Cookie Monster spends the night with Ernie. Cookie is frightened of a shadow on the wall, but Ernie shows him it's just a coat on a chair.

SCENE 2 Now daytime, Big Bird strolls over to Hooper's Store, where Mr. Handford uses a feather duster and has been told about Big Bird's dream. He recalls having a dream about feather dusters too, only his was a silly dream. In his dream, he was in a fencing match, when their swords suddenly turned into feather dusters, which they tickled each other with instead. Mr. Handford starts to tickle Big Bird with his duster too.
Cartoon Mr. Tweak can't sleep because his neighbor above snores, and his neighbor below sneezes.

When Grover comes with the sandwich, Mr. Johnson has changed his mind and wants the soup first. When Grover comes with the soup, Mr. Johnson has decided that he wants the sandwich first. Grover ends up giving Mr. Johnson both the soup and sandwich, so he can decide what to eat first. Mr. Johnson tells Grover that he has decided to get a cup of coffee, then the soup and the sandwich.

Big Bird wakes up Susan so he can tell her about it.
