COLD OPEN Merry Monster introduces today's sponsors. Telly tries to set up the word of the day, "Bread," but Merry wants to take over, thinking she can make the word scary. Telly scoffs, until Merry shouts the word in a scary manner, frightening Telly away.
SCENE 1 Telly regains his composure and tells Merry that bread isn't meant to be scary. Merry imagines a hypothetical sandwich, which starts making strange noises and shouts "Bread" again. Telly becomes frightened again and runs away.
