Picture Segment Description

COLD OPEN In the yard, Telly eagerly awaits as Gordon plugs in a television set. He, Telly (with Freddy), Maria, Luis, Gabi, and the kids tune into the WORM-TV broadcast of the first-ever "Worm Winter Games" from Squiggleville, France, where Slimey is competing! Host Tim McCarver presents the opening ceremonies, as the worms march with their respective flags. Oscar is certain Slimey will win and begins arguing with the French Grouch. The other Grouch coaches soon join in as Tim throws to the first break...
SCENE 1 The games begin with the first event - cross-country skiing. Since the worms are so small, they will ski across a map of France, rather than the whole country. Tim answers all of Telly's questions about the event through the television, and the race begins. Slimey falls down a few times during the race, allowing resident worm Mademoiselle Escargot to take first place. Telly is upset that Slimey has lost, but Gordon assures him there's other events for him to win.

Squishta, the Czechoslovakian worm, sets a worm record at 13 seconds. Slimey makes the same time afterwards, but is disqualified - he skied up the mountain, but fell down, which does not meet the rules of the game. Tim throws to a break, while Oscar goes to argue with Judge Renquist.

Soon, Slimey loved to sled and with a new sled from Oscar, he was able to practice every chance he can get (even in bowls of ice cream).
