COLD OPEN Gina receives a call that the truck that delivers produce to Hooper's Store has broken down. Grundgetta, eavesdropping, has a Grouchy idea and runs off.
SCENE 1 Grundgetta orders various types of drinks, along with a plate of fruits and vegetables, forcing Gina to point out each time they don't have any until she catches onto the trick.

Grover says that that is a very wise choice, and talks about the great things about a library. "Of course, you could also go to the zoo," he observes, and talks about the benefits of visiting the zoo. He also suggests the museum, or a movie. Mr. Johnson insists that they go to the library -- but Grover says they'll have to wait until he gets his cab fixed.

SCENE 2 Gordon does some stretching with Buster before they go jogging. Grundgetta, Slimey and Alice join them in stretching. Alice and Slimey want to come jogging with them. Buster thinks Slimey won't be able to keep up with them, but Grudgetta disagrees: Slimey can ride on Alice's snuffle. Grundgetta then decides to ride piggyback on Gordon, which confuses Buster - HE'S supposed to be the horse!
Cartoon A worm declares that the word "worm" is the only important word that begins with "W". A walrus retaliates by dumping a bucket of water on it.

Gordon has already written down what he wants, so Telly decides to return the pencil and paper he just got.
Cartoon The detective sees a hippo bouncing on a trampoline, and wonders how the hippo can bounce, since hippos are heavy, but the hippo thinks that he is light.

SCENE 4 Telly approaches Gina with a shopping list he made with Gordon's help. Telly feels fortunate to be able to read and write, then realizes that Gordon and Gina can read and write too (and use the phone), which means all he has to do is carry stuff. Telly feels useless, until Gina gives him a pep talk to make him feel special. Telly reveals that Gordon wants fresh vegetables for a salad, but Gina tells him the produce truck hasn't come yet. Gordon then comes in to pick up his vegetables, since he just got the phone call he was waiting for, and invites Telly to join him for scrambled eggs and toast. Telly still wants to read the list he wrote, so Gina lets him.
