SCENE 4 | Telly approaches Gina with a shopping list he made with Gordon's help, feeling fortunate to be able to read and write. He then realizes that Gordon and Gina can read and write too (and use the phone to order), which means all he has to do is carry stuff. Telly feels useless until Gina gives him a pep talk to make him feel special. Telly reveals that Gordon wants fresh vegetables for a salad, but Gina breaks the news that the produce truck hasn't come yet. Gordon then comes in to pick up his vegetables since he just got the phone call he was waiting for, then invites Telly to join him for scrambled eggs and toast as an alternative. Telly still wants to read the list he wrote, though, so Gina and Gordon let him... even if he struggles when reading it. |

Gina says they're all out of strawberry-sauerkraut fizz, but Grundgetta keeps asking for it with each of her orders, this time changing the vegetable instead of the drink. Gina announces the sponsors while resisting the temptation to argue with Grundgetta, eventually failing and snapping at her while Grundgetta cackles. |
