COLD OPEN | The Amazing Mumford magically displays today's sponsors, as Telly oohs and ahhs. An OOPS delivery man from the Meka-Leka Magic Store in Walla-Walla, Washington arrives with a package for Mumford. The magician states he didn't order anything, but accepts it anyway. Telly tells him to wait until after the theme song to open it.
SCENE 1 | Before they can open the package, the delivery man returns with another box. Mumford wonders why it came separately, and the disgruntled delivery man suggests that they can be used to demonstrate addition. He comes back twice more, bringing two more boxes, totaling to four. Mr. Handford helps them open the boxes, which contain a baton, two gloves, and a piece of paper describing “The Magic Conductor’s Kit,” but it doesn’t specify how to use it. Telly gets the feeling that another package may come soon...

While he goes back to the store and Telly pretends to conduct, the delivery man arrives back with the instructions on how to activate the kit: just say the magic words “Ala-wala-Start ‘em up!” Telly’s gloves begin waving around on their own, but the delivery man leaves before Telly can ask how to stop them.

Telly tries to correct them, but their music is too loud for them to hear him. The delivery man arrives again with another note that gives the magic words to make the gloves conduct faster and slower (much to Telly’s aching arms). The note, however, still doesn’t say how to stop them.

He tries thinking of a magic phrase to stop it when he comes across the right one – “Ala-wala-Knock it off!” The gloves stop and Telly finally takes them off, claiming he’s sticking to mittens from now on. The delivery guy comes back again, and Mumford remarks to Telly a new trick he’d like to try, “Ala-wala-Lose this guy!” The gloves, having heard the magic words, come alive and drag the man away before he can deliver the message.
