SCENE 1 | Big Bird welcomes the viewer and notices Telly (wearing his cast) holding a suitcase. He's going to a sleepover at Maria's house with Merry Monster, Azhelle, and Robert. Just to be sure he has everything he needs, he double-checks over all that he packed: his pajamas, his toothbrush, his blankie, his doll Freddy, and a picture of his mommy. Big Bird points out that now he has to re-pack all those things into the suitcase!

Merry points out that a story can also be acted out, citing an example out of the two kids, herself, and Telly, who love to play tag... and resume their game.

Just as she gets to Merry, she wonders what her monster parents do when they say good night. Merry likes it if she could wave her head and scream like a chicken, but a scratch behind the ears will do.
