She regrets not being able to show it to Linda as she passes by with Barkley and realizes she can't call her over since Linda is deaf. Bob calls Linda's name, which gets Barkley's attention and he brings her back. Roxie is impressed and wishes to learn more about this special skill. | |
SCENE 1 | Linda explains that she's been taking Barkley to a special school, where he's been trained to recognize certain sounds that will help her out more. She describes some situations where Barkley's noise recognition has come in handy, as cutaways are shown of Barkley waking Linda up when her alarm clock rings, alerting her of her whistling teapot, and guiding her to the kitchen when her dinner burns and the smoke alarm goes off. Roxie jokingly considers training one of her bugs to identify sounds as well. | |
