They notice the new "OPEN" sign on the door of Hooper's Store, realizing it's actually the word they've been chasing. The word (performed by Jim Martin) pulls itself off the door so they can continue their game. Gina wonders aloud if other streets experience this type of zaniness.

The word HOT (Pam Arciero) is then tagged by the rest and joins their game.

The only words missing are HOT, DOG, and OPEN, who all agree to leave with the man. With no words left to play tag with, Gina initiates a new game with Big Bird and Elmo.
