Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Three aliens from the planet Mayonnaise (and their dog) travel in a spaceship towards Sesame Street, where they'll find the answer to their big question.
SCENE 1 The aliens are beamed to the playground, where their captain mistakes Big Bird for a tree. The captain explains that on the Planet Mayonnaise, they feel tired and hungry every morning until lunch, their first meal of the day. Their question to Big Bird is "why?" Tarah concludes that it's because they don't eat breakfast … which they have never heard of before!
The Mayonnaisians leave, then come back with another question: what does one eat for breakfast?
Animation Airplanes carve the capital and lowercase S.

SCENE 2 The hungry Mayonnaisians visit Hooper's Store, where Gina introduces them to toast, orange juice, sliced bananas, muffins, cereal, eggs and milk … all of which they devour quickly.
The captain declares that from now on they will eat breakfast every morning on their planet — but the first mate informs him that they don't have any breakfast to go home to (no eggs, bananas, milk etc.). Gina figures they'll need a cow, a chicken, some corn, grass, and an orange tree.
Animation The word EGGS is shown, followed by eggs frying in a skillet.

Film A girl goes to school somewhere in Africa. We see the girl getting ready to go to school, as she washes herself and brushes her teeth, puts on her clothes, brushes her hair, and takes her lunch, all with some help from her mother. We see her walking past her neighbors and watching her classmates play outside as she arrives at school. The bell rings and the girl enters the school, where the teacher is passing out chalk to her students. We see the teacher teaching the students the English words: "a boy", "a girl", "a man", "a woman", which she has written on the board, along with a drawing for each word. The students repeat the words, then write them down on their individual chalkboards as we hear the girl remark, "We are learning to read and write." The students then jump up and down, as the teacher looks on, smiling. Next, we see the students jumping outside excitedly, now that school has finished.

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie and Bert explore an Egyptian pyramid. Bert is excited, but Ernie is afraid. They see statues that look like them. Bert decides to explore a tunnel while Ernie looks at the statues, and then the Ernie statue starts tapping and talking to Ernie. But when Ernie calls Bert back to the room, the statue doesn't move. Ernie is scared until the statue starts singing Rubber Duckie with him. Bert doesn't believe Ernie, until he says "Bye-bye, statue," and the statue replies "Bye-bye!" and laughs... just like Ernie. She adds that chickens need to eat corn in order to lay eggs, then shows how oranges have juice in them — which they didn't know before, because they normally use oranges to play ball. Gina wonders how they built their spaceship. The captain points to their dog and remarks, "He did it!"

There it is sorted and separated with a magnet. After it's loaded onto trucks, it is taken to a factory to be melted and shaped into new cans like the ones seen in her fridge at home.

SCENE 5 The Mayonnaisians say farewell to Big Bird, Gina and Tarah before they (along with their breakfast supplies) are beamed up by Scotty. Tarah announces the sponsors, and the captain is beamed up along with them.
