	COLD OPEN	In the vastness of outer space, three aliens from the planet Mayonnaise (and their dog) travel in the Starship Helpless towards Sesame Street on the planet Earth, where they hope to find the answer to their big question.
	SCENE 1	The aliens are beamed to the playground in the park, where their captain mistakes Big Bird for a tree. The captain explains that on the Planet Mayonnaise, they feel tired and hungry every morning until lunch, their first meal of the day. The captain reveals his very important question to Big Bird on a large scroll: "Why?" Tarah concludes that it's because they don't eat breakfast... a meal they have never heard of before!
	SCENE 1 cont'd	The Mayonnaisians leave with their answer, then quickly come back in a panic with another question: what does one eat for breakfast?
	Animation	Airplanes carve the capital and lowercase S.

	SCENE 2	The hungry Mayonnaisians visit Hooper's Store, where Gina introduces them to toast (though they are frightened at first by the toaster), orange juice, sliced bananas, muffins, cereal, eggs, and milk. She offers them to try it, and the captain instructs his crew to accept the meal with dignity before they all begin to wildly shovel everything into their gullets.
	SCENE 2 cont'd	The captain declares that from now on they will eat breakfast every morning on their planet, but the first mate informs him that they don't have any breakfast to go home to (no eggs, bananas, milk, etc.). They all begin to panic again when Gina figures they'll need a cow, a chicken, some corn, grass, and an orange tree. She and Big Bird offer to look for these supplies, suggesting that the Mayonnaisians stay to clean up their mess.
	Animation	The word EGGS is shown, followed by eggs frying in a skillet. (First: Episode 3045)
	Film	A girl goes to school somewhere in Africa. We see the girl getting ready to go to school, as she washes herself and brushes her teeth, puts on her clothes, brushes her hair, and takes her lunch, all with some help from her mother. We see her walking past her neighbors and watching her classmates play outside as she arrives at school. The bell rings, and the girl enters the school, where the teacher is passing out chalk to her students. We see the teacher teaching the students the English words: "a boy," "a girl," "a man," "a woman," which she has written on the board, along with a drawing for each word. The students repeat the words, then write them down on their individual chalkboards as the girl remarks, "We are learning to read and write." The students then jump up and down, as the teacher looks on, smiling. Next, we see the students jumping outside excitedly, now that school has finished. (First: Episode 2658)

Bert decides to explore a tunnel while Ernie looks at the statues, and then the Ernie statue starts tapping and talking to Ernie. But when Ernie calls Bert back to the room, the statue doesn't move. Ernie is scared until the statue starts singing Rubber Duckie with him. Bert doesn't believe Ernie, until he says "Bye-bye, statue," and the statue replies "Bye-bye!" and laughs... just like Ernie. 	SCENE 4	Gina introduces the Mayonnaisians to a cow (Jim Martin), explaining that the cow will need to eat grass in order to give milk. She adds that chickens need to eat corn in order to lay eggs; as the cow puts it, "If you want your breakfast, you've got to grow ours!" Gina then shows how oranges have juice in them, which the aliens didn't know about before - they normally use oranges to play ball. A curious Gina wonders how such clueless beings had built their spaceship in the first place. The captain points to their dog and remarks, "He did it!"

	Film	A little girl narrates a film about how cans can be recycled. She washes them and collects them in a wagon, which she takes to the recycling center. There it is sorted and separated with a magnet. After it's loaded onto trucks, it is taken to a factory to be melted and shaped into new cans like the ones seen in her fridge at home. 	SCENE 5	The Mayonnaisians say farewell to Big Bird, Gina, and Tarah before they and their breakfast supplies are beamed up by Scotty. Tarah announces the sponsors, and the captain (having briefly been forgotten) is beamed up along with them.

Notes

• In the original script, Mr. Handford was present throughout rather than Gina. Telly Monster and Rosita would also be involved, with the pair getting to sing "The First Chicken in Space" instead of Gina as well.
