COLD OPEN Elmo finds Gina giving comfort to Slimey, who's had a hard day so far. Gina intends to explain more in a moment and goes to get him some soup first.

SCENE 1 Gina details the day so far for Elmo. Early in the morning, she had to do some cleaning in the back room of Hooper's Store. So, she set up a bell with a sign altering customers to ring for service. Slimey showed up to get some supplies for his dinner with Crawlamina, but Gina was unable to see him behind the sign. Before she continues the story, Gina goes to make Slimey a nice sandwich.

Colambo, in his office, decides to have a piece of Christmas pie, when he notices a plum missing from it. He asks the janitor, Little Jack Horner, some questions about what he was doing in the corner. It turns out that Jack had stuck in his thumb and pulled out the plum.
On the title card, the story is credited to J. Mazzarino.

SCENE 2 Gina's story continues - Slimey hops up on top of a box, hoping he will be seen better. He then loses his balance just when she looks his way, obscuring him from view again. He then gets swept up in some items that Gina sends Snuffy to deliver to Finders Keepers. Gina now leaves to get Slimey a cool cloth for his head and promises to finish her story when she gets back.

SCENE 3 In the final part of Gina's story, Slimey crawls from Snuffy's tail to the tip of his snuffle, hoping to be seen. However, Snuffy has fallen asleep and Slimey's attempts to wake him instead cause Snuffy to sneeze. Slimey flies all the way back to Hooper's, right in Gina's pocket. In the present, Gina adds that Slimey's dinner mate then had to cancel, so Elmo offers to eat with Slimey instead.
