COLD OPEN | Telly believes today will be a calm, normal day and introduces the sponsors. Suddenly, Chicken Licken, aided by Turkey Lurkey, appears, proclaiming that the sky is falling, having been hit on the head by a piece of it. Tarah tries to logically reason with him, but Telly easily falls prey into their fear tactics.
SCENE 1 | Telly joins the two in their plan to save everyone from the falling sky. Telly, whom they call "Telly Welly" (his sky-falling name), is tasked with providing everyone on Sesame Street with a hardhat. Chicken Licken and Turkey Lurkey go off to warn their other animal friends, plus the king. Telly heads to "Ruthie Wuthie" for some hardhats and bumps into Tarah, who asserts the sky cannot fall.
