SCENE 1 Big Bird enters the Fix-It Shop and wishes to play with Luis. "I woke up this morning and something just told me...'Luis'," he states. Luis, however, is busy fixing a VCR and Maria offers to play. Big Bird claims it won't be the same, pointing out how they're different. They then tell Big Bird how alike they are and Maria allows Big Bird to help her repair a flashlight.
Cartoon A man wants a hat, but the hat shop owner's hats are all the same - except for a ten-gallon hat, which complements the customer's horseback riding nicely.

SCENE 2 Luis is still too busy to play with Big Bird, so Maria invites him to play a round of "Three of These Things" using her tools. Following the game, Luis goes to deliver the repaired VCR to Mrs. Green, but forgets to give Maria a goodbye kiss in his haste. Big Bird offers to substitute and earns a kiss on the beak.
