Picture Segment Description

COLD OPEN Rosita introduces today's sponsors when Telly excitedly tells her it's somebody's birthday today. He gives her the first clue: he lives on Sesame Street. Rosita wonders who it could be, already knowing that the lucky person is a "he," which eliminates Maria, Zoe, and Prairie Dawn. She overhears Oscar at his trash can talking about his "big day," so Rosita assumes it must be his birthday and goes to prepare a surprise.
SCENE 1 Rosita surprises Oscar and sings "A Very Unhappy Birthday (To You)," with Oscar joining in and the Grouchketeers bringing a Grouch cake and crummy presents. Oscar enjoys the surprise, but loves it even more because it was a wasted effort; today's not his birthday. The "big day" Rosita heard earlier is that the Mudman is coming to deliver his weekly supply of mud.
SCENE 1 cont'd Telly rushes up to Rosita with another clue: whoever's birthday it is happens to be a "little pal" of Oscar's. Rosita makes another assumption and goes to get them their gift.
