Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Elmo welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and announces that he's going to be a farmer today. He shows Rosita that he has everything a farmer needs: sunlight, dirt, a flower pot, a watering can, and of course, a hat. Rosita volunteers to be his farmhand, and Elmo reveals what they're going to grow: eggs. They put the egg into the flower pot, cover it with dirt, add the water, and fantasize about the egg tree that will grow from the pot.

When they're done counting, she explains that eggs come from chickens, not trees. Elmo gets inspiration to grow something else, and asks Lurlene to dig a hole while he and Rosita go elsewhere.
