SCENE 1 cont'd As the program begins, Sally introduces her guests, whom Oscar believes are perfect for the Grouch audience. He claims they can never be friends because Goldilocks is always making Baby Bear angry. To prove it, he's brought along a copy of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to show how their troubled relationship began. He begins reading and by the time he reaches the porridge section, Baby Bear is very angry. Oscar happily teases there's more to come in the story, so Sally throws the program to a commercial break.
