Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Gina welcomes the viewer to her very busy day care center. Rosita arrives and urgently requests some paper and crayons, as she feels so happy about what happened to her that she wants to write a story about it. Zoe, on the other hand, is feeling sad when she comes to day care and too wants some supplies to express how she feels.

SCENE 2 Rosita begins to read the story she has made - "The Great Big Red Wishing Button," told through pictures and a few letters of the alphabet. Yesterday, she found a big red button on the ground in the park and made a wish that someone would see it. Sure enough, Lexine happens by and Rosita gets to show her it, making her believe it has wish-granting abilities. She happens to have the button with her and Gina tries to show it to Zoe, but she doesn't look and continues to sadly work on her story.

SCENE 3 Rosita makes a wish on the button that Zoe would finish her story, which coincidentally happens afterward. In Zoe's story, she was also at the park yesterday wearing her new jacket with three big red buttons on it (the same one she's currently wearing). However, one fell off and Zoe's mother replaced it with a purple one. Rosita realizes the button she has is actually from Zoe's coat; Zoe happens to spot it and the monsters begin to quarrel.

SCENE 5 Gina finishes re-sewing the button on Zoe's coat, and Zoe gives Rosita a new wishing button: the purple button that was used to replace the red one. Rosita feels happier now, then wishes to hear some music (the closing theme) and see the letter and number of the day. This cues Gina to announce the sponsors, and Rosita wishes Zoe would give her a hug. The three of them join in one big hug, and the credits follow.
