SCENE 1 | Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop arrive on Sesame Street, and while Shari is excited to be there, Lamb Chop is dismissive of their surroundings: "You see one park, you've seen 'em all." She's nervous about being in a new place and talking to new people; Shari explains that feeling is called being shy. Lamb Chop then spots Big Bird in his nest area, at first becoming frightened by his size ("He looks like a building with feathers!"). Big Bird asserts that he is friendly, but Lamb Chop admits that she needs a lot of help in meeting new people, resulting in a rendition of "How Do You Do?" between the three. |

SCENE 2 | The trio has learned that the pig is named Sooey, and she believes nobody would like to be friends with her because she's a pig. She says the only things she knows how to do is oink and roll around in mud. Shari compliments her on both things, but then they find out Sooey doesn't know the alphabet. They teach it to her by saying it twice, which makes her feel proud. She is especially impressed by Big Bird's teaching ability, getting an idea on how to get people to like her. She trots away, leaving the others intrigued... |

SCENE 3 | Sooey has returned dressed in feathers and a beak, thinking everyone will like her if she's like Big Bird. Lamb Chop bursts into laughter over this logic, and Sooey is disappointed that her outfit won't change who she is. Shari persuades Lamb Chop to say something inspirational (something better than her first attempt - "Snap out of it!"). Lamb Chop gives a heartfelt speech on how she didn't used to be as smart as she is now and is still learning things, and even though she makes mistakes, that doesn't diminish her self-esteem. Sooey is amazed at Lamb Chop's confidence, which suddenly gives her another idea and she runs off. |

SCENE 4 | Sooey has come back dressed as a lamb this time. She thinks everyone will like her the way they like Lamb Chop, but Lamb Chop only laughs at this attempt. Big Bird makes it clear that she can't be another animal by dressing like one, and Sooey bursts into tears. In song, they show her that they already love her the way she is - she's "Perfect as a Pig." When it's over, Sooey runs off inspired yet again. |

SCENE 5 cont'd |
When the song finishes, Sooey says she will only change one thing: her name from "Sooey" to "Pork Chop," and considers having her own TV show: Pork Chop's Play-Along. Lamb Chop's reaction: a triumphant "Yes!" Pork Chop oinks away (briefly to the tune of "The Song That Doesn't End") and Lamb Chop announces the sponsors, commenting, "Boy, that pig turned out to be quite a ham." A full credit crawl follows, and so ends the 27th season of Sesame Street. |
