SCENE 5 Every item has been purchased, except for the peanut truck (to Telly's delight). Ruthie rewards Prairie for her work by paying her a penny. Prairie uses it to buy the peanut truck, so that every single item will have been bought. Telly breaks down, explaining his feelings about the truck and not wanting it to be sold. Prairie recognizes all the help he's been today and gives him the truck as a present. Prairie then points out the sponsors, then follows Ruthie and Telly to a P Sale party at Hooper's Store.
