Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Big Bird welcomes the viewer and notices his friend, Kerri, coming down the street. He explains that she's blind and is using a cane to find her way around. She recognizes Big Bird by his voice and invites him to her birthday party later on the playground. Big Bird accepts and plans to make her a drawing as a present, until he realizes she won't be able to see it. Gabi, who's also going, has an idea...

SCENE 2 Snuffy comes along and finds Big Bird and Gabi starting to work on their present. They plan to use shells, which Kerri will be able to feel. Through cooperation, Gabi applies the glue, Big Bird the shells and Snuffy dries the glue with his snuffle. Big Bird and Gabi head to the party, while Snuffy heads to a lunch date with his granny.

SCENE 3 At the party, Big Bird and Gabi present Kerri with their gift, which can feel and loves. She knows exactly where the gift table is, as earlier, Gina lead her around the park so she could get a sense of the space. She reveals that Gina also showed her where the tape player was, and they all dance.
Film "There's a lot to see under the sea," according to some young swimmers who narrate a poem about the ocean-dwellers they find.

SCENE 4 Now it's time to play Pin the Tail on the Donkey (though, not with a real donkey as Big Bird thinks). Big Bird goes first and is surprised at how dark it is with the blindfold on, similar to how Kerri sees things every day. Big Bird misses his target, instead putting the tail under the chin ("I knew it went on one end or the other."). Kerri gives it a try, not needing a blindfold, and wins!
