	SCENE 1	Oscar brings his toaster to the Fix-It Shop for repair (it won't burn his toast), but Maria has stepped out, leaving Gabi to watch the store. Oscar doesn't mind waiting (he prefers it) when two characters announce their presence - The Prince and the Pig. They claim to be great characters from the greatest story ever told... only it hasn't been written yet. They ask whom they call "Mr. Green Sloppy Guy" to write their story, but Oscar naturally declines. Gabi, despite being pressed for time, decides to help and gets a pad and pen. But, how will their story go? The prince and pig do like the beginning, though: "Once upon a time..."

	SCENE 2	Gabi finishes writing and reads what she's created so far. The Prince and the Pig visit Numberland to count to 10. They count on the numbered flags only to discover that the "7" is missing!
	SCENE 2 cont'd	The story gets cut short when Maria returns and sends Gabi to her piano lesson. The Prince and the Pig are sad and ask Maria to finish it, but she has already promised to fix Oscar's toaster. Oscar refuses again and tells Maria he'll be back later. The Prince and Pig call out in distress for a writer.

	SCENE 3	In the yard, the Prince and the Pig ask Oscar (whom they mistake for another "green sloppy guy") to help write their story, but he again turns them down as he'd rather enjoy his sardine sundae in peace. They then spot Elmo playing nearby and ask him, but he doesn't know how to write. The duo start to bellow in despair again until Mr. Handford suggests some cooperation is needed - Elmo will dictate the story, and he will write it down.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	In Elmo's continuation of the story, the Prince and the Pig meet the two-headed Elmford (Elmo and Mr. Handford standing behind a large two-headed cutout). They like to find things, but argue over which way to go and decide to compromise and stay put for their search.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Afterward, Elmo is called to help his mommy and Mr. Handford returns to work, leaving the duo without an author once more; Oscar tells them to hit the road.

	SCENE 4	Oscar refuses to help with the Prince and the Pig's nice story until Mr. Handford explains that it can go in whatever direction the writer wants, saying, "A writer is a very powerful thing to be." Oscar finally agrees to help and begins writing his chapter, first eliminating the nice "Elmford" character.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	In the story, the Prince and the Pig return where they started from when they meet a green Grouch, and spot the number 7 he's hiding behind his back! The Grouch agrees to return it on the condition that the two can pass the "Grouch test." The Prince and the Pig wait as author Oscar tries to come up with a test grouchy enough for them.

	SCENE 5	As the story concludes, the Prince and the Pig pass the Grouch test by wearing smelly gym socks on their noses, rolling in the mud, and yelling "Wubba wubba wubba!" The 7 is returned and they're able to count all the way to 10, thus ending their story. Oscar hopes the duo hated the story, but they love it; in fact, they want him to write all their stories from now on! Oscar tries to get them to beat it as the Prince and the Pig sign off, with Mr. Handford joining to announce the sponsors.
