	SCENE 1	Celina welcomes the viewer, when Elmo rushes to her, asking her what's today's letter of the day. He hopes it's the letter E, the first letter in his name. He politely shouts above, when a voice (Martin P. Robinson) responds that today's letter is O. Elmo is upset, but gets an idea on how to change it. He grabs a rag and wipes the onscreen O away, and tries drawing an E in its place. The voice points out the letter will remain O, despite Elmo's efforts. Elmo is determined to find another way.

He "cancels" the segment and draws an E onscreen. He then does his own E-dance to the segment's music. Despite some applause, the voice chimes in again to say today's letter is still O.

	SCENE 3	Celina finds Elmo in the midst of his next plan: he's written a whole bunch of his own Es and handed them out to the kids to stick all over the street. The voice again notes his efforts have been fruitless and the day's letter is still O, like in the following segment...

	Muppets	Director Kermit is filming Oklahoma with Forgetful Jones as the star. Forgetful is supposed to enter sing "Oklahoma!" but sings "Aklahoma!", "Eeklahoma!", and "Iklahoma!" instead. When he finally gets it right, the production assistant says it's time for lunch. (First: Episode 2544)

On their way home, the tenor and his partner become stuck on the freeway, where the lanes are full - but all it takes to make them empty is some bad singing. 	SCENE 6	Elmo is disappointed his efforts have been for naught. The voice points out that Elmo's name ends with the letter O. Elmo is inspired and asks the voice to cooperate and make both letters the letter of the day. The voice agrees to the change and Elmo celebrates by helping Celina find a big tree to climb.
