SCENE 1, cont'd Telly tells Bob that also, today they are going to see a sad princess today. Bob doesn’t think so because he hasn’t heard about a sad princess on Sesame Street. Then, a sad princess comes and starts to cry. Telly hates it when princesses cry and Telly asks the princess what is wrong. The princess explains that she can’t sleep. She is supposed to be sleeping because she is Sleeping Beauty. Bob and Telly talk about the story. She explains an hour ago she woke up, because there was a really noisy garbage truck outside her window. The problem is that today the prince is supposed to come and kiss her. Then, she’ll wake up. Telly says there must be something to do and Sleeping Beauty has been tossing and turning for the last hour, but she still can’t go to sleep. Zoe and Telly want to try to find a way to get her back to sleep. Telly has a plan and walks away with Zoe to tell her. Bob has to go because he promised Linda to walk Barkley. Bob wishes Sleeping Beauty good luck and tells her sweet dreams. Bob walks off. Sleeping Beauty yells that she can’t have sweet dreams.

They run away for a second and return as broccolis. That was the only other costumes they had. Zoe and Telly walk back and forth while Sleeping Beauty counts the amount of broccolis. Once she reaches 10, Zoe asks if she feels sleepy yet and Sleepy Beauty responds no. After 30, Zoe and Telly feel tired but Sleepy Beauty doesn’t and asks them to go faster.
