Telly introduces Elmo to his new pet hamster, Sweetie Pie. The two observe its actions within the cage and take turns greeting it. Later, they discover that Sweetie Pie has escaped from the cage!

- The following season, Telly would get a new pet hamster, Chuckie (later becoming Chuckie Sue).
