SCENE 1 Carlo welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and Big Bird passes by, on his way to watch "Alphaboy." Carlo follows him out of curiosity into the arbor, where a TV is set up. The show comes on, and Carlo notices that Big Bird has suddenly disappeared. He reappears, wearing a cape, proclaiming that today he's pretending to be Alphabird! "I'll be just like Alphaboy, but with feathers!"

Carlo announces the sponsors and reports the status of Slimey's spaceship, and gives the cape to a boy passing by.
