Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN At the park, Baby Bear, Elmo and Telly inform the viewer that they're going to have a great day today. They'll be introducing the letter and number of the day, and other fun stuff. The camera zooms out on them, to reveal Bob greeting some kids passing by.

SCENE 1 Telly and Baby Bear introduce Elmo, who will display the letter of the day. He displays the letter on an elephant's forehead, and gives a speech about it. When he's done, the elephant walks off, and a girl, Nadine, comes by, looking for her pet elephant, Elliot. Telly and Baby Bear say they haven't seen one, but they saw a letter I earlier.

SCENE 2 After telling Ruthie to get him some oatmeal raisin cookies, Baby Bear recites a poem about the number of the day, which is 12. The elephant is brought in again to display the number on his ears, as well as a triangle. His owner comes back to reclaim him, wondering what he's doing here. He gives a moving speech about wanting to do more than just eat peanuts, and she promises to do more fun things with him when they get home.

While there, they learn about what kind of training astronauts go through, which includes a motion simulator, a moon-jump simulator, and an exercise machine. They also learn how to build and fix structures. Finally, they get treated to some freeze-dried ice cream, which is part of what astronauts eat in space.

Cartoon A young bespectacled man with an accordion asks how much it costs to cross the bridge. The Bridgekeeper says admission is free, but requires that the young man show him three triangles. Two of them are found in the bridgework, and the man uses the bridgekeeper's staff to draw a third triangle in the dirt. Although the bridgekeeper has his order filled, he asks the man to play a tune on his accordion. This additional request takes the young man by surprise, but he is told to do so for the opportunity to cross the bridge.

SCENE 3 Elmo, Baby Bear and Nadine cheer Telly on as he attempts to see-saw with the elephant. The three friends announce the sponsors and report the status of Slimey's spaceship, while Bob passes by Linda as he chases Barkley.
COMING SOON Coming soon on Sesame Street: Rosita shows up at the Triangle Lovers Club tongue-twisting contest, so that Telly can feel better when he says "Ten tiny triangles tip-toed through the tulips."
