She has to go to school soon and doesn't want to leave her at her house all day. She asks Maria to watch over her at the Fix-It Shop, and after some prodding from Big Bird she agrees to do so, thinking that taking care of one cute little bunny won't give her much trouble. |

SCENE 8 | Everyone returns for their pets, and Telly also comes to pick up his toaster, but Maria says that she hasn't had time to fix it since she was busy watching everyone's animals. Telly panics as his family is crazy for toast and tells everyone to take their pets so Maria can do what "she does best." Elmo thinks their pets will be lonely on their own, but Maria assures them they'll be fine as they've been left alone and didn't mind before. Big Bird agrees, and is reminded of the "Alone Song" and that it's nice to be by himself sometimes. Everyone agrees and takes their pets away; "Alone at last," Maria sighs. |
