Gordon encounters Oscar and Irvine listening to Fluffy splashing loudly as he takes his bath. Oscar thinks Irvine would never want a bath, seeing as she's a grouch baby, but she does show signs of wanting one. Oscar doesn't mind Fluffy taking a bath, because by the time it's over, his trash can will be a mess. He introduces the following segment to show what kind of mess an elephant can make ...
A film insert about washing elephants at the Bronx Zoo. The song "Splish Splash" is used in part of the segment. (EKA: Episode 2096)
Irvine still wants a bath, but Oscar explains to her what a bath involves: getting clean. He introduces another film which illustrates his point ...
"Rubber Duckie" (film footage of kids taking baths, with Ernie's voice-over).
Just as Oscar and Gordon think Irvine doesn't want to take a bath anymore, Ernie shows up to give Irvine a few bath toys, including a not-so-fluffy bath towel and a "rubber yucky" which makes a dreadful sound. Irvine wants to take a bath more than ever now, and Oscar laments, "I guess I have to show her more happy campers splashing around and getting clean ..."
"Let's Go Tubbin' Today"
B for bathtub, ball, boat, boot, boomerang, brush and bison (EKA: Episode 3154)

"Bubble on My Snuffle" (EKA: Episode 3425)
Oscar gives it one last shot: he tells bath-hungry Irvine that bubbles come from soap, which makes you clean and smell sweet. Gordon gives her a bar of soap to observe, so that she can see (and smell) how clean it is. The smell makes her sick, and Oscar thinks he has succeeded.

Monsters in Day Care: Herry Monster talks to kids about putting things away in their cubby holes. Back at Monster Day Care, Herry tells the gang (which, today, includes the Two-Headed Monster) about what he learned.
Gordon brings Stinky to Oscar's can, and before Stinky reveals his surprise, he explains that awhile ago, he grew a very smelly flower (as seen in a flashback), which was a major disappointment for him. But then he realized that maybe this smell of his could have some use for grouches, and he ended up authorizing the use of his smell for a new bubble bath for grouches, "Bubble Blecch." Oscar and Irvine love the smell of it, and Irvine wants to be bathed in it, so Oscar gives his okay this time.

Irvine enjoys getting scrubbed by Gordon and playing with her Rubber Yucky. Oscar gets splattered with stinky foam and remarks, "Maybe taking a bath isn't so bad after all."
