Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Telly shows Alan the latest issue of "The Triangle Times," the publication of the Triangle Lover's Club. They look at some of the latest three-sided news, when Telly comes across an interesting article - the Triangle Lover's Club is holding a triangle drawing contest! Telly rushes off to start working on his submission.



Muppets A quartet of lambs do a daredevil act on stage, which involves the first two lambs balancing a chair on top of a pole, the third lamb firing a cannon, and the fourth lamb landing in the chair after being shot out of the cannon. When the act fails, vaudeville team Big Bird and Snuffy take the stage, and introduce the letter of the day with a joke.

SCENE 2 Telly sets up his drawing station and picks out the perfect crayon to use. He makes a simple, blue triangle, which he believes is beautiful. Baby Bear checks up on him and offers his artistic opinion, claiming if Telly wants to win, he needs to make a more impressive-looking piece. He rushes off to get his supplies, though Telly likes the way his triangle looks.
Film Two sisters make their own buildings, both with paper and blocks.

SCENE 3 Following Baby Bear's instructions, Telly makes a new, bigger triangle where each side is a different color. Baby Bear also recommends they add a number to the piece to make it more unique, so Telly adds a number 6. He tells Baby Bear he still likes his first drawing, so Baby Bear goes to get more supplies to enhance the second one.

SCENE 4 Baby Bear and Telly finish sprinkling glitter onto the drawing, when Baby Bear gets yet another stroke of artistic genius - adding a letter to the drawing! Telly picks the letter Q and draws it above the triangle. Baby Bear thinks of something more impressive to add and runs off. Telly wonders how he can make Baby Bear understand he likes his first triangle better.

Baby Bear becomes sad, but assures Telly they're still friends. But now, Baby Bear takes the new triangle and decides to submit it himself.

SCENE 6 Telly and Baby Bear have both sent in their drawings, but realize only one can win and the other will feel sad for losing. Alan helps them understand that they'll be friends no matter what. Telly hears the familiar theme of the Grand High Triangle Lover, meaning he's on his way to the street with news of the winner...
Muppets Grover and Rosita explain the concept of "love" in 15 seconds. Grover exasperates about the assignment, but Rosita intervenes just in time.

SCENE 7 The Grand High Lover, with Norman dinging behind him, arrives to declare a winner of the contest. The finalists have been narrowed down to Baby Bear and Telly's drawings. Ultimately, Telly's drawing is declared the winner and Telly makes sure he and Baby Bear are still friends. Baby Bear pulls the GHTL aside to ask why Telly's simplistic triangle won over his impressive one. The GHTL claims that Baby Bear's, while artistic in its own right, is too flashy and distracts from the wonder of the triangle. He adds that both pieces will be hung on the fridge of the Triangle Lover's Club Lodge in North Dakota.
