SCENE 1 | Big Bird is practicing "The Alphabet Song" because he's going to sing it with Snuffy, his best friend. As soon as he arrives, Snuffy breaks the news that he can't stay long as he has to help his mother: "Sometimes when a mommy needs help, a son should help her." He agrees to sing it later when his mother calls, and Big Bird points out with interest as Snuffy leaves that he is both a friend and someone's son. |
