SCENE 1 | Big Bird plays hopscotch with Jelani, Andrew, and Chad when Snuffy bumps into them, wearing a puffy white costume and saying "float... float..." to himself. He explains that he is pretending to be a cloud, and is rehearsing his part for a Snufflegarden play about the sky. Big Bird wonders if he can play with them while wearing his costume and Snuffy decides to ask his mother, who is busy ordering large quantities of food from Alan at Hooper's Store. Mrs. Snuffleupagus says it's fine for Snuffy to play as long as he can keep his costume clean, and she will pick him up to go to Snufflegarden later. In the meantime, Snuffy and friends all pretend to be clouds. |

He feels a bit tired afterward and wants to sit down, but the others warn him it might ruin his costume. "It's not that easy staying clean," admits Big Bird. |

SCENE 4 | Big Bird, Snuffy, and the kids decide to play "Ring Around the Rosie," Snuffy's favorite game. They play a round, but Snuffy doesn't do the "all fall down" part as it would result in messing up his cloud costume. After Big Bird's suggestion of "falling up" doesn't seem to work, they change it from "all fall down" to "all jump up!" It results in shaking the ground, causing Maria to spill her cup of juice onto herself. She thinks a more calm activity might work better, thinking they can all make their own cloud costumes, and they can all sing Snuffy's cloud song. She leaves to get some supplies (and change her shirt). |
