SCENE 1 | Telly welcomes the viewer and witnesses Oscar causing a ruckus over at his trash can as he dumps various items in (to minor protests from Fluffy). Oscar explains his childhood friend, Felix the Grouch, is coming to visit and he's making his can especially messy. Telly is surprised and Oscar asserts that even Grouches have friends, then tells him to scram. As he leaves, Telly wonders what Felix will be like. |

SCENE 6 | Telly overhears Oscar and Felix arguing inside his can as Felix bathes Oscar's pets. Telly reports to Maria the awful time it seems the two Grouches are having. "Can two very different Grouches share a trash can without driving each other crazy?" Maria exclaims before telling Oscar he has every right to be angry right now; it's his home and Felix has no right to change it. Oscar calls Felix up to tell him to stop cleaning at once. If he can't make the trash can clean, Felix says he can't stay there and leaves, which upsets Oscar. |

Notes[]
- This episode is a reference to The Odd Couple, which featured two roommates: the messy Oscar Madison (Jack Klugman) and the neat Felix Unger (Tony Randall). A spoof of the Odd Couple theme is played throughout the episode.
