Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Big Bird and Gordon welcome the viewer and hear Stinky the Stinkweed moaning, as a caterpillar has made its chrysalis on one of his leaves. Gordon explains the process to Big Bird of how a caterpillar makes the shell (as they all refer the chrysalis as throughout the episode) to become a butterfly. Gordon takes Big Bird to see a visual aid.

SCENE 1 cont'd In the Fix-It Shop, Big Bird, Gordon and Maria watch the computer screen as a video of the metamorphosis of a Monarch caterpillar takes place. Big Bird goes to check on Stinky.
SCENE 1 cont'd Big Bird runs back to Stinky to see if the butterfly has come out, but Stinky claims it will take a while before that happens. He gets an idea to get the butterfly out now and rushes off.

SCENE 2 Big Bird has recruited Rosita, Zoe and Elmo to cheer the butterfly out, but it doesn’t work. Gordon explains why the plan failed. Big Bird wonders what they can do to pass the time until the butterfly comes out and Stinky tells him he can help get the chrysalis safe. This sparks another idea in the bird’s brain and he runs off again.

Muppets Super Grover says that he's going to fly up into the air and point to the letter of the day. He begins by getting a running start, but only propels himself sideways, hurting himself in the process. Leaning on the brick wall for support, he thinks maybe he will forget the flying part and just do the pointing part. The following segment presents the letter of the day.
