Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Grundgetta arrives at Oscar's trash can, just as Maria passes by. Oscar is just waking up and Maria says to him, "Buenos dias." Half-asleep, Oscar repeats it back to her. Grundgetta is shocked and tells him what's he done. She wants to go to the dump, but Oscar doesn't want to leave until he rectifies things by wishing Maria a rotten morning in English and Spanish. Grundgetta likes the idea, but neither know how to say "Have a rotten morning" in Spanish.

SCENE 2 Oscar consults his "Spanish for Grouches" book and finds the phrase he's looking for ("Espero que tengas una mañana mala."). He tries phoning the Fix-It Shop, but Maria answers too late. She asks Rosita and Elmo to watch the phone while she goes in the back room.
