SCENE 1 | Stinky welcomes the viewer and wishes to tell them what they'll be seeing today, but has no clue what it will be; on cue, Elmo arrives and announces the sponsors. He then asks Stinky if it's fun being a plant, and decides he wants to pretend to be a plant today. Stinky suggests that he get his own flower pot and Elmo runs off to get one, and Stinky feels honored that Elmo wants to be like him. |

Elmo stretches his arms out like leaves and enjoys it at first, but soon realizes, "It's not easy being a plant..." |

Elmo decides to call out for water since plants can't leave their pots, and sure enough Gabi arrives with her watering can. She gives some refreshment to both Elmo (sticking the can's tube in his mouth like a straw) and Stinky (who prefers it poured onto his dirt). |

Big Bird has trouble getting used to all this sunlight, though: "Gee, it's not easy being a plant." |
