	SCENE 1	Ernie, with Rubber Duckie in hand, strolls down the block greeting everyone he sees. He finally reaches the viewer and tells them that they have a playdate today. He wonders what they'll do today, then decides to start by mentioning the letter and number of the day. Snuffy passes by and Ernie invites him to join them, but Snuffy claims he has a bath to take. Ernie leads the viewer somewhere else to find some fun.

	SCENE 2	Ernie and the viewer come across Zoe and Telly, who have formed the Airplane Club and are pretending to be airplanes. The monsters give Rubber Duckie some instructions on how to be a plane, showing them how to make the proper takeoff and flight noises. In the midst of their flight, Maria calls Ernie over to the Fix-It Shop.

	SCENE 2 cont'd	As he zooms his way down the street, Ernie stops for an "X-tra" X break.

	SCENE 3	Maria needs Ernie's help in holding a sail while she glues it into a toy boat for Natasha. Ernie puts down Rubber Duckie (singing a snatch of the classic song) while he holds the sail that Maria has glued, allowing the viewer to count to 20 with them while they wait for it to dry. Ernie pretends he's also been glued to the sail as a gag, then goes to see what Elmo and the kids are laughing over nearby.

	SCENE 3 cont'd	Ernie now cues up some segments about the number of the day, 11....

	SCENE 4	Ernie finds Elmo, Alan, Spencer, and Felicia about to sing a clapping song. Ernie wants to join and shows off how good a clapper he is. Alan leads everyone in a "Simple Clapping Song." After the song, Ernie goes to look for more playdate happenings.

	SCENE 5	Ernie runs into Big Bird, who recruits Ernie and the viewer to partake in a demonstration of "near" and "far." Big Bird walks to the end of the corner to get far from Ernie, but Ernie's patented jesting forces him to come near. Ernie recommends the viewer take a turn and the camera zooms near, then much farther. Once the camera gets far enough, Mr. Johnson appears in the frame, asking for directions to Charlie's Restaurant.
	Insert	"Professor Television" (Bill Irwin) tries to demonstrate near and far, with help from Maria's voice. (First: Episode 3617)
	Muppets	Waiter Grover: Al Fresco — Mr. Johnson has lunch at Charlie's Outdoor Al Fresco Fresh Air Cafe, where he's disappointed to find Grover waiting on him. (First: Episode 3105)

	SCENE 6	Ernie takes the viewer to visit Oscar ("I'm sure he'd love having company just barging in."), but of course the Grouch wants them to leave. Ernie launches into singing "You, Me, and Duckie," going over all the fun times they had together. Afterwards, Ernie leaves to feed Bert's pigeons while the viewer visits Elmo and Dorothy...
