Zoe and Ernie try singing a bit of "Rubber Duckie," but cut it short when they see it doesn't work. They then try counting to twenty since Rubber Duckie loves counting, but that doesn't work either. Zoe decides that they should ask a grown-up, and Maria assumes they mean her and starts to feel flattered until Zoe recommends the Amazing Mumford. |

SCENE 2 cont'd | The two find Mumford in the yard polishing his magic wand and tell him of their trouble. Mumford waves his wand and says his usual magic words, but Rubber Duckie ends up honking like a car horn when squeezed. He tries again with a different spell, this time making Rubber Duckie ring like a telephone. The third time doesn't make the charm - while Rubber Duckie remains silent, Mumford is the one who ends up squeaking! He's able to return himself to speaking like normal but offers Ernie a solution: a replacement duck named Louie, but Ernie refuses as Rubber Duckie is too special to him. He gives a speech on how he wants to go through life with his special bath time pal, saying that he will always be true to him. Ernie's words touch Louie's heart and he gives him a gentle peck on the nose. |

SCENE 2 cont'd | Mumford goes to have lunch with Louie and suggests they should ask Maria about checking Rubber Duckie out. Zoe agrees: "She used to be pretty good at fixing things!" They head over to the Mail It Shop (nearly running Maria over) and Ernie nervously hands Rubber Duckie to her. She checks the squeaker underneath and carefully uses a pair of tweezers to pry out a piece of lint that was stuck inside. |
