SCENE 1 Big Bird tells Dorothy and Elmo a fish joke. Together with the kids, they sing and dance the "Glub Glub Blub Blub" fish dance.

After practicing a few times, The Count hits an organ key, and the number is one. One elephant appears.
Cartoon Number Guy sings "How Many Birds Can Sit on This Wire?" One giant bird provides the answer.

SCENE 2 At the Mail-It Shop, Big Bird gets a book in the mail, titled "The Mark of Elefante." Elmo and Big Bird beg Maria to read it to them.

SCENE 2, cont'd The story is about a town that loves to dance. A witch, played by Oscar, casts a spell that makes everyone fall on the ground when they try to dance.
SCENE 2, cont'd In the story, the witch says the spell can only be broken by a dancing something that begins with E. They try an egg. A singing guitar player announces the arrival of the masked Elefante.

SCENE 2, cont'd Elefante breaks the spell by dancing and leaves the Mark of Elefante: the Letter E.

SCENE 2, cont'd The story is done. Elmo puts on a costume to become Elmofante, and leaves the Mark of Elmofante on the screen.
SCENE 2, cont'd Elmofante can't get his E off of the screen. The guitar player and Elefante arrive to remove it. The guitar player denies he's Luis. Elefante leaves his mark on a notepad.
Film An insert about washing elephants at the Bronx Zoo. The song "Splish Splash" is used in part of the segment.

Film Xiao-Mei from northern China describes a festival at the end of every year that her family participates in. Each day of the festival, there is a new show to watch, a series of parades and lots of food like noodles and dumplings. Women prepare floats for the parade while men dress up as river animals. Xiao-Mei's favorite part or the festival is the lion dance. Xiao-Mei also demonstrates how she can walk on stilts which are strapped to her legs, and hopes someday to dance in the big parade.
